DESCRIPTION

Since its creation in 1966, Danone has always embodied committment at the service of man. Antoine Riboud thus established the group's social committement guidelines while insisting on the double social and economical project. In march 2006, Danone explored the concept of social business while getting involved in the co-creation of Grameen Danone Food, new proximity distribution models in Bangladesh with the objective of reducing poverty while bringing health by nutrition to children. Consequently, the investment fund Danone Communities was created in 2006 to develop innovative social business models, with the objective to maximise social impacts. Assuming that a firm can only develop within a strong environment, the Danone Ecosystem Fund was created in 2009. It is intended to strenghten and develop the activities of the partners who make up Danone's ecosystem: farmers, suppliers, transports and logistics, distributors, territories.
